Authorities say two suspects were detained in Tennessee for allegedly trafficking a 17-year-old girl for sex.
The girl was allegedly trafficked for commercial sex by Zoe Whitlock, 23, of Ellisville, Mississippi, and Chadwick Corley, 21, of Memphis, Tennessee.
According to a press release, the teenager was saved, and the two suspects were apprehended after a traffic check in Hickman County on February 21.
The two suspects and the juvenile, who were all in the car, were all questioned during a routine traffic check by a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer. After questioning, THP contacted the Human Trafficking Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The girl was reported missing outside of Knoxville, according to an investigation.
Each of the suspects faces charges of trafficking in commercial sex.
Corley and Whitlock’s bonds were set at $120,000 when they were taken into custody at the Hickman County Prison.
