You likely spend ample amounts of time in your car. Because of this, you’ll want to do things to keep it clean. This can keep you from having to spend time deep cleaning your car frequently.

1. Keep a Trash Can Nearby

One of the best things you can do to keep your car clean consistently is to make it easy to throw trash away. The best way to do this is by keeping a bin or a rubbish bag in your vehicle. It could be something as simple as a plastic bag hung on your headrest. You can have a designated place to put all of your rubbish instead of on the floor. It’s very easy to do and all you’ll need to do is replace it once it fills up.

2. Cup Holder Liner

It’s a good idea to purchase a cup holder liner for your car. This can keep your car holder from getting junked up from spilled drinks. While cup holders do a good job of holding your drinks in place, they can get messy from time to time because there are bound to spill from sharp turns and bumps on the road. Having liners is a good way to prevent the liquid from getting down into the nitty-gritty of the cup holders which can make the cup holders more difficult to clean. When you have silicone liners, you just need to pop them out and wash them when they get dirty.

3. Air Freshener

No one wants a car that smells bad when you get into it. Unfortunately, things happen. This is especially true if you have kids. It can be very difficult to keep a clean-smelling vehicle without an air freshener installed. Luckily, when you install one, you have an air freshener that can keep your car smelling however you want it to.

4. Wet Wipes

Keeping wet wipes handy is crucial to keeping your car clean. Wet wipes can be beneficial in many ways. Not only can they help to clean up spells quickly when they happen, but they can also help you clean your hands after you’ve had a snack. Wet wipes can be invaluable in your efforts to keep your car tidy because you never know when you’ll need them.

5. Take Things Out

Don’t get into the habit of leaving things for later. It’s always a good idea to take small steps in your cleaning efforts. You might not want to clean your vehicle, but if you grab a handful of things every time you leave your car, you’ll find that you will have a clean car quicker than you know it. Try to get into the habit of removing things that you don’t need in your car every time you leave it.

6. Keep Your Shoes Clean

Your flooring is generally one of the first places to get dirty. After all, you are walking all around. It can be very easy to track dirt and mud into your vehicle when it’s messy outside. A good way to minimize this is by making a habit of knocking mud and dirt off your shoes before you get into your vehicle. Even if you have all-weather mats installed from Mr Car Mats, it can keep them cleaner for longer. You’ll also want to wash your mats now and then.

7. Use Organizers

It’s always a good idea to install and use organizers in your vehicle. This can keep things from getting thrown around in it. You want to try to install organizers for the front and back seats. This is especially good if you have children. Children will get bored and bored kids create more messes. You can keep them entertained by having organizers full of activities they can do. It also gives them a place to put the items they are done using to keep them off the floor.

8. Keep Loose Change Somewhere

You don’t want to have loose change thrown everywhere in your vehicle. Have a designated place for it. Otherwise, it’s going to end up in between seats or even on the floor.

9. Clean Up Messes ASAP

You need to make a habit of cleaning up messes right away. Don’t delay when you have something spill. Not only is it going to keep it from soaking in and smelling, but it’s also going to ensure that you deal with the mess before you forget about it.

10. Keep Food Contained

The easiest way to not have a lot of mess in your vehicle is to make a rule of no eating or drinking. However, that’s not practical for everyone. Therefore, you’ll want to ensure that you bring containers for all of the food brought into your vehicle. This can help to catch crumbs and keep the crumbs off your floor and in between the seats.
