In 1993, the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Williams out of Western Carolina University, and he spent six of his thirteen seasons in the NFL with the team. He was a vital member of the 1995 team that participated in Super Bowl XXX, and he was the only player from that team to be on the roster of the 2005 team that won Super Bowl XL. Before rejoining the Steelers for the 2004 and 2005 seasons, Williams played for the Seattle Seahawks from 1997 to 2003.
