Career and rise to fame
George developed a strong desire for pure cinema, and he made 16mm nonstory, noncharacter visual tone poems and cinema verité, including Loot at Life, 1:42.08, The Emperor, Filmmaker, Anyone Lived in a Pretty (How) Town, and 6-18-67. He decided to take more lessons on film production and re-enrolled at the University of Southern California as a graduate student in film production.
