Paul Fenech started his career as an amateur boxer and had a stint in the Australian Army. He later decided to enter the movie industry. Beginning his career, Paul directed the documentary More Than Legends. He found fame in the industry by winning third place in Sydney’s annual Tropfest short film festival, Pizza Man (1995), where he played a pizza delivery driver. In 1998, he won the Tropfest award for best film for Intolerance. Paul later secured a deal with SBS(an Australian community broadcaster) to produce a sitcom based on his short film. In 2000, he aired the film Pizza, which ran for five seasons, with the final season in 2007.
2003 saw the release of Fat Pizza. Over a decade later, Fenech created the feature film Fat Pizza vs. Housos by combining the storylines of Pizza and his third SBS series, Housos. After Pizza had succeeded, he launched the sitcom series Swift and Shift Couriers. On October 24, 2011, his third TV show for SBS was aired. Two series have been produced, including two full-length films, Housos vs. Authority (2012) and Fat Pizza vs. Housos (2014). 2014, his movie Housos won the Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Program at the Logie Awards.
