Enzo Maresca began his football career at 11 with A. C. Millian, and after three years, he joined Cagliari. Enzo started his professional career with the English club West Bromwich Albion despite not grasping English. On September 20, 1998, he debuted in a 2–0 home defeat against Bradford City.
