Broderick Stephen Harvey Snr was born on January 17, 1957, in Welch, West Virginia, States of America, to father Jesse Harvey and Mother Eloise Vera under the zodiac sign of T Capricorn with the nationality of American and of African descent.
He moved with his parents to the East Side of Cleveland, Ohio, United where he attended Glenville High School. After High school, he enrolled at Kent State University And West Virginia University, but he did not graduate.
Harvey has been an autoworker, a boxer, an insurance salesman, a mail carrier, and a carpet cleaner. He started performing Stand-up comedy in the late 80s in Cleveland, Ohio.
After progressing to the finals of the second annual Johnnie Walker National Comedy Search, Steve succeeded Mark Curry as the host of its Showtime at the Apollo. Steve Harvey became a household name as the host of The Steve Harvey Show, which ran from 1996 to 2002.
Steve was included in the original king of Comedy Series after appearing on tour with other comedians in the king of comedy tour.
