Chelsea duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner scored as Germany beat Israel to make it eight wins in a row since manager Hansi Flick took charge.
Havertz opened the scoring with a header from a corner, his 15th goal for club and country this season, before Werner’s near-post finish.
In a post-match interview, Hansi Flick said “I am satisfied with our game today,”. “We are satisfied with every part of our game.”
Timo Werner, who is struggling for form this season at Chelsea said also after the game: “I am a striker and I want to score goals. At Chelsea, it may not be going as I would have wished. There are differences in the style when you play for the club or the national team. Maybe it fits me more here. I feel well when I play here.”
