Chelsea signed Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille for 7 million Euros in 2012. The 32 years old Spanish international has grown to become one of the key members of the Chelsea squad.
Cesar Azpilicueta made his competitive debut for Chelsea against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a League Cup, Chelsea went on to win the game by 6-0. He made his Premier League debut the same week coming on as a substitute for Branislav Ivanović as Chelsea thrashed Norwich City by 4-1.
The Spaniard scored his first goal for Chelsea in a London derby against Arsenal in the fourth round of the League Cup. since his first goal against Arsenal, Cesar Azpilicueta has gone on to score 17 goals for Chelsea in 476 appearances.
Cesar Azpilicueta was made the captain of Chelsea in 2019 when Gary Cahill left the Club, having previously served as his deputy. Azpilicueta has won two Premier League, and the Champions League. the Europa League and the FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea.
