Bombs that the perpetrators in the Mexican hotel massacre allegedly built themselves were used to start fires in local businesses.
Nearly a dozen people were killed and several others were injured in a shooting at a Mexican hotel on Monday.
At least 11 people have been killed and another five injured in a shooting at the Gala hotel and bar in Celaya, Guanajuato, at about 10 p.m., according to Telemundo 52.
Customers and employees at the hotel and bar were shot at point-blank range by a group of roughly 15 hooded armed men. More than 50 bullets were fired, and the attackers used improvised bombs to burn two local businesses’ storefronts.
Guests in the hotel rooms were shaken by the sound of gunfire and the suspects fled the area fast. Four persons, two men, and two women were found dead in the hotel, and another six, five women and one guy were found dead near the bar when authorities arrived.
