What did Trevor Sinclair say about Manchester United?

Speaking on the TalkSports Breakfast show, The former Manchester City players said: “I’m pleased to see Manchester United get a coach in who has a clear philosophy behind how he wants to play, and he’s executing that in training.

“You’re starting to see it in friendly games already. The Rashford goal against Crystal Palace – those are the kind of goals you see Man City or Liverpool score.

“If I was a Man United fan – I know it’s only a friendly and you shouldn’t get overexcited – but you’ve got to get excited by that.”

Meanwhile, Trevor Sinclair claims Manchester United still needs Ajax winger Antony.

Manchester United is in talks with Ajax to sign Brazilian winger Antony. The Brazilian international had been amazing at Ajax under Erik Ten Hag.

The former Manchester City and West Ham winger added: “Ten Hag has been in the building for three or four weeks, he knows what he’s got, and he’s still going for Antony.

“What does that tell you? He rates Antony more than the players he’s got.

“You need to be able to rotate like the top clubs, you need that depth.”

Anthony Martial has been one of the best players for Manchester United in their pre-season. The French international has scored three goals in three games for Manchester United so far.

Trevor Sinclair has been impressed with Anthony Martial’s performances so far.

The former England international continued: “Martial has been superb.

“New manager, spring in his step, clean slate.

“The style of football that they’re now playing, I’ve not seen them play, although it is only pre-season.”
