In 2008, the group’s debut mixtape, “Music, Money and Magnums,” was released. The group’s first song to be played on radio in multiple significant cities was “Make It Rain,” the lead single off the mixtape. Following its success, they released the hit single “Bring It Back” on their 2010 mixtape “I’m a Differenter.” On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song peaked at position 50.
Rise to Stardom
In 2010, along with other well-known underground artists, the trio received the 2010 Underground Music Awards in New York City. They were also nominated for the “Most Dynamic Rap Group Duo.”
On May 29, 2012, the band released their debut album, “From Day 1,” which debuted at number 45 on the Billboard 200. The album was released under RCA Records and the group’s Porter House Music record label. With Roscoe Dash: With Roscoe Dash, the song “All the Way Turnt Up” has generated controversy. According to Dash, he wrote the entire song—including the lyrics and the hook—and even asked the band Travis Porter to contribute. When Porter included this song in their mixtape, fans began to think that Travis Porter, not Roscoe Dash, was the original artist. Later, on his label Interscope Records, Roscoe Dash released a remixed version of the song featuring a verse by fellow rapper Soulja Boy.
