In Utah County, a child fell into the Provo River close to Bridal Veil Falls.
Authorities in Utah reported that a 12-year-old youngster lost his life on Saturday after being carried miles downstream after slipping into a river.
Around 1:45 p.m., the Arizona-born toddler slipped into the overflowing Provo River while on vacation with family close to Bridal Veil Falls, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
The youngster was seen many times near the river, and numerous agencies searched for him, according to FOX13 Salt Lake City.
After discovering the boy, one rescuer attempted, but failed, to leap into the river to save him, according to the station.
