Freddie Mercury will have been 78 years old today.

Farrokh Bulusara, known as Freddie Mercury, was a renowned British singer and songwriter. Known as famously as the lead vocalist and pianist of the rock band Queen.
Although he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on, and he is regarded as one of the greatest singers in rock music history.
Born on September 5, 1946, to Oaris-Indian parents in Zanzibar. He received his early education training from English boarding schools in India at eight and moved back to Zanzibar after secondary school. In 1964, Freddie and his family escaped the Zanzibar Revolution, moving to Middlesex, England. Freddie formed his band, “Queen”, in 1970 after studying and writing songs. He formed the band with drummer Roger Taylor and with guitarist Brian May. As the lead vocalist and songwriter of the band, Freddie wrote many hits for Queen, including “We Are the Champions,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Killer Queen,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
After several years of giving out energetic performances, Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. Unfortunately, he died in 1991 at the age of 45, a few days after publicly announcing his diagnosis. Having left an indelible mark in the music industry, Freddie was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. He was later installed into the 2003 Songwriters Hall of Fame and the 2004 UK Music Hall of Fame. Freddie Mercury was voted No. 55 in the 2002 BBC’s poll of the 100 Greatest Britain’s.

Known for portraying Mike Baldwin in the soap opera Coronation Street, John Ernest Briggs, MBE, is an English actor who needs no introduction. He played Mike Baldwin from 1976 to 2006.
Briggs was born on September 5, 1935, in Battersea, southwest London, United Kingdom, to a master carpenter who was evacuated from London during the Blit campaign of the Second World War. At 12, he was awarded a scholarship to train at the Italia Conti Academy stage school. He learnt alongside Nanette Newman, Anthony Newley and Millicent Martin.
Briggs landed his first acting role in 1958 in the film Quarte, which starred Georgia Cole. Before completing two years of national service with the Royal Tank Regiment in Germany, Brigg worked as a stagehand at the Windmill Theatre. Following his acting break, he returned in 1955 to work in theatre.
He later made his TV debut in the film The Younger Generation alongside John Thaw. Brigg also had significant roles in notable films such as “No Hiding Place,” “Crossroads,” “The Saint,” “The Persuaders!” and “Thick as Thieves.” Briggs filmed his final scene for the soap opera Coronation Street after appearing in 2 348 episodes. In 2012, he starred in a “Coronation Street” sketch to raise funds for the charity Text Santa.
He married twice, first to Caroline Sinclair in 1961. They divorced in 1975. He married again to Christine Allsop in 1977, and they divorced in 2006. He had six children.
For his thirty years of service and contribution to Coronation Street, Briggs was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards. He was later honored with the MBE during the 2007 New Year Honors. Over the years, Briggs battled sickness but couldn’t keep up. He died on February 28, 2021, at the age of 85.

Later on, after the war, Jesse James and his brother Frank James turned out to be robbers and transformed into one of the legendary figures of the American Wild West.
Jesse James carried out his criminal activities between 1866 and 1882. He was known for daring bank heists and train robberies in that period. He became well-known and a celebrity of his time.
Unfortunately, Jesse’s life was taken on April 3, 1882, when he was shot and murdered by Robert Ford, a recruit to his gang. Ford hoped to collect the reward on Jesse’s head and be granted amnesty for prior crimes. Jesse died in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and was buried in Kearney, Missouri, where he was born.
