Chelsea right back Reece James has earned a lot of applause from pundits, Teammate, and managers after impressive performance against AC Milan in the Champions League.
The 22-year-old England international was named Man of the Match against AC Milan after scoring and providing an assist.
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva believes Reece James could become the right back in history.
What did Thiago Silva say about Reece James?
The Brazilian international told Hayters after Chelsea 3-0 win over AC Milan: “He’s a very young athlete but looks like he’s been playing football for so many years.
“It’s easy to talk about him because he is someone I really like.
“I hope he can continue with this winning mentality because he is a guy who works really hard and deserves all this success. He is one of the strengths of our team, both offensively and defensively.
“I hope he can continue like this, because if he keeps this winning mentality, he has everything to be one of the best in history.”
Chelsea looks more directly under Graham Potter. The blues have won two out of three matches under Graham Potter.
The win against AC Milan was important as it increases Chelsea’s chance of progressing out of the group.
Thiago Silva was full of special words for their new manager after winning over Ac Milan.
Silva added: “He’s a very special guy, a very nice and humble guy.
“We have just had a few weeks together, but we’ve had some nice conversations.
“He knows how to manage players well and he organises the team well with his human, humble communications. That makes us grow as players and reach our goals.
“Today was a special victory for him and his first one at home. Hopefully, it continues like this.”
Chelsea will travel to the San Siro for the return fixture of the Champions League on Tuesday. It will be a homecoming for Thiago Silva, who spends three years with the Italian Champions before joining Paris Saint Germain.
On the potential to the San Siro, he said: “I felt good, a special day and an important win.
“Since I left Milan, I didn’t play against them for 12 years, so after 12 years, we met again.
“For sure, next week will be special because I lived some of my best days with them. So I hope to have another special night like tonight.”
Meanwhile, Kaka has hailed Chelsea after winning over his former side.
The Ballon d’or said: “I think they have a very consistent game. They controlled the game the whole time. They didn’t create many opportunities, but they took advantage of the opportunities they they had.
“Most of them [chances] conceded by Milan and we were talking about the absence of the players and it’s important to keep the players that couldn’t play tonight, but for Milan, it was a poor game.
“No actions, a bad result and only one chance at the end of the first chance with leao and part of that, not much more. For me there wasn’t a connection between midfield and attack, also because of that we saw a poor game of Giroud because he didn’t see many balls from the game.
“If Milan wants to have a good Champions League, there is another game against Chelsea again, then Clasico against Juve on the weekend, so it’s important ten days for Milan.”
Chelsea are currently fifty in the Premier League and will host manager less Wolves at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
