Krasner is known throughout the United States as a progressive district attorney.
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Republican majority began impeachment proceedings against Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner this week.
Members of the state legislature are attempting to impeach Krasner, arguing that he has created an “unchecked” criminal atmosphere by failing to prosecute lawbreakers. Several Republican lawmakers on Monday introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump.
It is expected to be a bipartisan effort, with “quite frankly the dereliction of duty and the failure of Larry Krasner being well recognized across the commonwealth,” Kail said in a statement. “We fully anticipate gaining quite a bit of support within this effort.”
