Fall is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere, with chilly weather, falling leaves, and preparations starting for the year-end holidays – Thanksgiving, Halloween, and a bit later, Christmas. And with it, a pretty stuffed sports calendar. Aside from the top soccer leagues in the world that continue their seasons in full force, there are many other significant events to bet on this fall. Here are the most important ones to follow before the winter holidays.
Rugby World Cup 2023 final
All sports betting South Africa has to offer now revolves around the Rugby World Cup where the Springboks, South Africa’s national rugby team, is preparing to defend its title. The top rugby teams from all over the globe are in Paris, and the sport’s biggest fans as well, waiting for the grand final that will be played on October 28.
Fans and bettors both speculate on which teams will reach this stage – at the moment, South Africa, France, Ireland, and New Zealand are the most likely contenders. We’ll have a chance to see on the 28th.
Cricket World Cup 2023 final
All cricket fans in the world have their eyes fixed on India for two months this year, as the top cricket teams from around the world gather to dispute the fate of the title. The Cricket World Cup has barely started, so it’s too early to speculate the winner – but some bookmakers have already published some odds. According to them, India is most likely to be victorious.
This edition’s Final is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world, on November 19.
ATP Masters 1000 Paris
This year’s tennis season is ending in a couple of months. But before that, we still have an ATP 1000 event to follow: the Rolex Paris Masters. The indoor hard-surface event will start on October 30 and will gather the top tennis talent from around the world: Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Janik Skinner, among others, are confirmed to participate.
WTA and ATP Finals
Each year, both the WTA and ATP seasons conclude with a major tournament where the cream of tennis competes one last time before the holiday season.
This year’s WTA Tour ends in Cancún, Mexico, with a tournament played between October 29 and November 5. It will have a total prize pool of $9 million, and host players like Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, and others.
The ATP Finals will be held in Turin, Italy, between the 12th and 19th of November. It will have a prize pool of $14.75 million and it will host players like Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev, and Sinner.
Davis Cup Finals
In the world of tennis, everything is about individual performance. Except in the Davis Cup, where nations compete against each other. The Davis Cup Finals will pit players from 8 nations against each other in Malága, Spain. The quarterfinals will be played between November 21 and 23, followed by the semifinals on the 24th and 25th, and the finals, on the 26th.
