On Monday night, a police officer was critically injured after being shot multiple times at a gas station in Southeast Memphis. The officer is currently classified as being in serious condition.
The officer was sent to the Regional One Hospital after the transit.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., an officer responded to a report of a suspicious car near a gas station, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. In the end, shots were fired by both the police and the suspect. Both parties fired shots.
According to the information that has been gathered, the shooter was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
