Once more, a group of vicious monkeys that were causing havoc in an Indian town killed a 10-year-old boy by tearing out his intestines.
As per a report published in The Sun, Dipak Thakor was attacked by a renowned group of monkeys while he was playing with his friends in the small village of Salki. One of the animals proceeded to tear out the boy’s intestines by digging its claws into him.
After the attack, Thakor was taken to the hospital immediately, but sadly, the medical staff was unable to save his life.
“The assault tore out his intestine. In a statement, a local official said, “He hurried back to his house and was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” as reported by The Sun.
The official stated that the most recent tragedy was “the third attack by monkeys in the village within a week.” The monkeys that killed the boy are still at large and have carried out several attacks.
According to Salki forest official Vishal Chaudhary, officials have been trying to track down what was called a “large troop” of monkeys and have successfully captured a few of them.
As per the report, Chaudhary stated, “We have set up cages to trap another langur and have rescued two langurs in the last week.” “The village is home to a sizable troop of monkeys, four of which are adults have engaged in attacks within the last week. They’ve managed to save two of them. There are attempts to imprison another.
The report claims that in India, having dangerous interactions with monkeys is not uncommon. A 3-year-old boy was carried up a cliff by a monkey that kidnapped him earlier this year. In that instance, the child was found and securely returned to her parents by police after a multi-hour search.
