Following a stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours, a woman was rushed to the hospital, and the male suspect has reportedly been taken into custody by the police.

According to the Temple Police Department, officers from their department were dispatched to Baylor Scott and White Hospital at approximately 5:40 this morning in response to reports of a female victim of a stabbing who was in critical condition.

The suspect was located in the parking lot, and law enforcement officers were able to take him into custody as soon as they arrived.

Reports indicate that the suspect was the one who drove the victim to the medical facility on his own.

Since that time, the 400 block of South 7th Street has been the primary center of attention for the authorities conducting the investigation.

The investigation into what took place here is not yet complete.

If you have information, you can contact the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500 or Bell County Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477 anonymously.
