What can I expect from a Sons treatment plan?
The timeline for the Sons treatment plans varies from person to person, but the initial effects of the treatment might start to appear within 3 months. More significant changes should occur half a year into your treatment, with the complete effects likely being apparent between 9 and 12 months.
Side effects from the treatment are rare, but not impossible. Depending on the application you opt for, redness, itchiness, bloating, erectile dysfunction, and reactions to other medications you might take, among other things, have been reported. If you believe you’re experiencing any of these, stop taking the medication and speak to your doctor, at which time the effects should wear off.
How does the initial consultation work?
When you first get in touch with Sons, you can arrange a consultation with one of our experts so the extent of your issues can be discussed. The severity of your hair loss can be determined on the Norwood Scale, where you will receive a score which helps finalise the suggested treatment plan for you.
You’ll need to divulge information like how long you’ve noticed the issues, what medications you’ve used in the past, tell us about any allergies you could have and your medical history generally. All the information you provide is confidential and could be useful in getting the right plan for you.
How do I apply the Sons treatment?
This depends on the type of products you purchase from Sons.
Finasteride is usually prescribed as an oral tablet which should be taken once a day. Minoxidil, however, primarily comes as a spray formula that can be topically applied to the affected areas of your scalp twice a day, using the prescribed amount from the bottle with the pump.
Biotin is a supplement that you should take daily (not as a replacement to part of your diet) and our DHT-Blocking Shampoo is used in the shower when washing your hair. Let the shampoo sit on your head for a few minutes to receive the benefits of the treatment.
