International investigative journalist, Guillaume Perrier together with Anas Ameriyaw Anas have released a Sketch and investigative piece, detailing their investigations so far about the death of Ahmed Suale.
Guillaume Perrier who has traveled to Ghana with a team of investigators have released phone conversations between them and prominent suspects in Ahmed’s murder case. On his Twitter handle, the also exposed series of death threats from suspects including the former GFA president Kwasi Naytakyie and Kennedy Agyapong.
Guillaume Perrier confirmed that Kenndy Agyapong was interrogated. He said:
“We interviewed MP Kennedy Agyapong, who had sent Ahmed death treats. “I had nothing to do with this murder. But I have no regrets. If I had to do it all over again, I would do exactly the same thing” he said.”
The journalist also confirmed talking to eye witnesses and one of their witnesses response “– Why didn’t you tell the police? Are you scared?
“Of course I am,” he says, with eyes wide open. “The Ghanaian police… It’s impossible!” He hesitates. Then he lowers his voice. He confides, speaking at full speed in his dialect: “In fact a policeman came to see me here a few days after the assassination. And he ordered me not to say anything to anyone,” he says”

Further piece revealed that the people have lost trust in the Ghana police. An eye witness said ““The reputation of the powerful is being protected,”

We also met former head of Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi, banned for life by FIFA after being filmed by the investigative journalist pocketing 65,000$ in a fake sponsor deal signed in Dubaï. And we can reveal that he also sent death threats to Ahmed Suale in 2018.

I went to Madina, the Accra neighbourhood where Ahmed was shot. I met eye witnesses of the assassination. One of them flew in the North of the country by fear of reprisals. Another one was scared to talk and admitted police came to him and asked him to keep silent.
