Shaquille O’Neal was born to Lucille O’Neal and Joe Toney on March 6th, 1972, in Newark, New Jersey, United States of America. He was born under the zodiac sign Pisces, of American nationality and black descent. His father was a drug addict who got arrested and imprisoned for possession of drugs when Shaq was just a baby. Career
The Orlando Magic first selected O’Neal in the 1992 NBA Draft after he played college basketball for the LSU Tigers. After being named Rookie of the Year in 1992–93 and leading his team to the NBA Finals in 1995, he quickly became one of the best centers in the league. O’Neal joined the Magic for four years before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent. They achieved three straight title victories in 2000, 2001, and 2002. In 2004, O’Neal was traded to the Miami Heat. In 2006, he won his fourth NBA title, even though he and Kobe Bryant had been fighting a lot.
