Michigan is a state in the United States. The hunt for a missing 3-year-old kid with impairments in Central Michigan entered its second day on Tuesday morning.
The missing child, who has autism and cannot communicate, was reported missing about 2 p.m. on Monday, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
The missing child was last seen departing on foot in the rural community of north Watertown Township, some 15 miles northwest of Lansing, Michigan. He was last spotted around Clark Road on South Bauer Road.
The last time the youngster was seen, he was dressed in a blue sweatshirt and gray and blue shorts.
According to a post on X by Michigan State Police, the boy was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and gray and blue shorts.
According to investigators, the youngster, whose identity has not been released, had long, wavy dark hair and was not wearing shoes when he vanished.
“The missing boy is also reported to be a climber and could be in a tree or any other elevated structure,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in a statement.
The National Weather Service reported low 40s in the area overnight, and the temperature at Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport was 43 degrees as of 7:45 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
A desperate Monday night search and call for help
Multiple law enforcement personnel and community volunteers spent much of Monday night looking for the missing child, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Specialized units worked throughout the night and, as of this time, have been unable to locate the missing child,” the agency said in a post at 7 a.m. ET.
The search for a missing child will resume on Tuesday after an unsuccessful night, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Please pray for the family.”
The local sheriff’s office asked residents to investigate any outbuildings, sheds, safe havens, or bodies of water in their areas.
Anyone who stumbles across the child is encouraged to notify authorities right away.
On social media, the sheriff’s office requested for ongoing prayers for the family.
