Career
Sana began her modeling career and was featured in commercials and television shows. In 2009, she starred on MTV’s Scooty Teen Diva reality show. Sana later appeared in Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De, a teen musical series. She then appeared in the second season of the TV series Kitani Mohabbat Hai, after which she portrayed Lavanya Kashyap in the serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Riya Mukherjee also appeared in the 4 Lions Films criminal investigative series Arjun opposite Shaleen Malhotra.
She later competed in Femina Miss India and won the Femina Miss Beautiful Smile 2012 title. She made her feature film debut in the Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya in 2014 under the screen name Sana Makbul. In the film, Sana plays Samhitha, an aerobics trainer who falls in love with a father and son. She has signed on to star in Rajkumar Periasamy’s criminal thriller Rangoon, for which filming has already begun.
She collaborated with Vishal Vishishtha on Vish in 2019. Sana participated in the 2021 Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 season, filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. She advanced to the semifinals.
