Republicans want Biden to push for severe changes at WHO to clean up its “corruption.”

The Republicans in the House of Representatives want President Biden to halt any attempts he is making “to empower” the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Freedom Caucus in Congress believes that either President Biden should remove the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO) or take action to address the “rampant corruption” in the organization.

Instead of “empowering” the WHO, Republican legislators wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden on Monday that he should “either immediately resume President Trump’s withdrawal from this body or, at the very least, push serious reform to aggressively correct this organization’s rampant corruption and ineffective leadership.”

At the 75th World Health Assembly, which is taking place in Geneva this week, the administration of President Joe Biden is expected to propose amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHRs). These amendments, according to the congressmen, would transfer responsibility for a public health emergency to a foreign organization.

In addition, the legislators have an issue with the fact that the WHO has not removed the director-general, who they believe should be held responsible for China’s cover-up of the origins of COVID-19.

During his trip to Asia, President Joe Biden participated in a press conference with other world leaders.

They write in a letter that was obtained for the first time by The News God that even though the amendments are “reportedly aimed at targeting China’s manipulation and obstruction of WHO throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” in reality, they empower the individual who is most responsible for enabling China’s malfeasance, which is the Director-General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the 75th World Health Assembly to pursue a major shift in direction and a change in leadership. Please do so.
