Rep. Jim Banks asserts that the upcoming committee hearings on January 6 would reveal intelligence failures as well as a lack of resources for the Capitol Police.
Jim Banks, a Republican who is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, is currently attacking the Jan. 6 Committee for allegedly disregarding the Capitol’s physical security while simultaneously advocating his alternative study.
Even though the resources of the committee won’t be put behind the Republican report, it will nevertheless provide crucial information on Capitol security on January 6th, as Representative Banks of Indiana stated in an interview with the media on Tuesday.
According to Banks, “We Conducted… Hundreds of Interviews with Capitol Police Personnel… Whistleblowers, and Others with Participation in Capitol Security Who Were There on January 6 or Leading Up to It.” A breakdown in procedures, methodologies, policies and staff changes occurred before January 6. As a result of this, we learned a great lot about the obstacles or problems that resulted from this breakdown.
