President Joe Biden has urged local governments to use American Rescue Plan funds to hire more cops.

In the run-up to the midterm elections in November, the administration of President Joe Biden is making an effort to portray Republicans as less supportive of law enforcement than Democrats.

On Friday, President Joe Biden called on municipalities to take advantage of funds made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to increase the number of police officers on duty and improve overall community safety.

The President, while speaking at an event held in the Rose Garden of the White House, urged local leaders to respond quickly to invest in public safety ahead of the anticipated crime wave that will occur this summer.
