Police in Maryland are searching for an “armed and dangerous” suspect suspected of stabbing a stranger in the head.

Aric Carpenter, 26, is wanted for attempted murder, first-degree assault, and other charges arising from an alleged Friday incident, according to the Laurel Police Department outside of Washington, D.C.

“Police believe Carpenter stabbed an unidentified bystander in the head… in the 7800 block of Contee Road in Laurel,” they said. Carpenter fled the scene after being stabbed, and his whereabouts are currently unclear.

Authorities described Carpenter as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds, with “multiple tattoos on his face, including the word ‘Kim’ on his cheek.”

“Carpenters should be considered armed and extremely dangerous,” the Laurel Police Department added. “Immediately contact your local police department if you have any contact with Carpenter.”

After being transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries, the unidentified victim is anticipated to recover, according to officials.

On Monday afternoon, the Laurel Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

On Friday, a Baltimore man was accused in connection with the deadly shooting of a Howard County deputy.

According to a Facebook post by the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Ryan Alexander Demby, 23, was at a Baltimore pub early Friday morning when a “verbal argument broke out between other customers.”

According to the post, shots were fired during the argument, and Demby was hit.

Jewel Crowder, 40, was caught and put into custody the same day, according to the Baltimore Police Department, and he was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting and killing Demby.
