‘On breathing machine,’ a Philadelphia policeman was shot in the neck,’ according to Mayor Cherelle Parker.
According to local sources, a police officer from Philadelphia is “fighting for his life” after being shot in the neck during a traffic check on Saturday night.
Mayor Cherelle Parker informed reporters outside Temple University Hospital that the 31-year-old cop, a husband and father, is on life support.
“As your mayor, it is not lost on me that on today a husband, a father and the son met his partner and went to work to do a job that he’s been doing for about six and a half years,” Parker stated. “He didn’t expect that he would be in a fight for his life right now.”
Around eight o’clock at night, the officer and his companion performed a traffic stop in the Kensington district, according to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel. While examining the automobile, the authorities discovered a holster among the four occupants.
