Learn about Path of Exile’s new currencies that give powerful effects.
Path of Exiles is a free-to-play action role-playing game that is constantly updated every few months with new leagues and expansions. These updates introduce new items, balance changes, and currency types. Path of Exile has been around for many years and still has a high and consistent player base, due to plenty of content and a versatile build system. With the Siege of the Atlas expansion and the Archnemesis league, there are a lot of new things to learn, for example, the new PoE currency.
What is PoE Currency?
PoE currency is PoE orbs that can be traded for PoE items, PoE currency, or PoE power leveling. Unlike other games, there is no money. All currency is based on small items that can affect gear and equipment. With some orbs and currency being rarer than others.
For example, Exalted Orbs are very valuable to players. Exalted Orbs “augments a rare item with a new random modifier” making the gear stronger by adding a new prefix or suffix.
Then you have items like the Mirror of Kalandra, one of the most sought-after currencies in the game. Using the Mirror of Kalandra will grant a mirrored version of any item.
There are plenty of other items as well. Learning how much each one is valued will help you when you need to trade with other players and get the items that you need. With the new Archnemesis league and Seige of the Atlas expansion, there are even more PoE currency items that you need to be aware of. These are called Eldritch Orbs.

These are all of the new currency items that can have huge effects on your gear. There are also other currencies used for maps, but that is a different subject that can be tackled later. Most of these items are found in maps and bosses found on the Atlas. I hope this was helpful and will succeed in planning your new build.
