According to local sources, an Ohio father who was dragged beneath a car while allegedly teaching his 9-year-old son how to drive is now being charged with a crime.
According to WTVG, which cited police, Clejuan Williams, 36, of Toledo, was allegedly drunk when he was instructing his son in driving.
A car is seen backing out of a private driveway in dramatic footage that Fox News Digital was able to capture. The vehicle appears to be moving steadily in the footage before crashing out of the driveway and colliding with a pole on the other side of the road.
The open door pushes a man standing on the driver’s side to the ground, where he is dragged beneath the vehicle.
Police claim that Williams instructed his kid to apply pressure to the pedal. Unaware of which pedal his father was referring to, his youngster allegedly depressed the gas pedal.
Williams is recuperating in the hospital, according to his neighbour, who spoke to WTVG. According to the neighbour, Williams informed him that when the accident occurred, he attempted to get his keys rather than instructing his son to drive.
Williams faces charges of endangering minors and wrongful entrustment of a motor vehicle.
