A missing California mother of two whose body was discovered Sunday in a “remote region” has been identified as the woman’s ex-husband, who has been detained in connection with her slaying, according to authorities.
The Simi Valley Police Department said that 25-year-old Rachel Castillo was reported missing on Thursday after her sister Emily Castillo visited the house they both share and discovered “large amounts of blood.”
Despite Rachel’s disappearance, authorities stated her personal items, including her cell phone, auto keys, and car, were on the property.
