In 1999, Harnett was convicted of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl who lived in the Bronx. He was given a sentence of 18 years in prison for this crime.
After authorities allege he kidnapped a lady and repeatedly raped her while holding her captive for five days in an abandoned building in the Bronx, a homeless high-level registered sex offender in New York City was arrested again.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark stated Monday that Timothy Harnett, a 44-year-old homeless man who goes by the moniker “Lawless,” had been indicted for kidnapping and repeatedly raping a 28-year-old woman from April 29 to May 2 in an abandoned three-story structure.

It’s claimed that in exchange for sex, the woman accepted Harnett’s offer of money and they proceeded up to an upper floor of the building, which had recently been damaged by fire. It is said that the homeless man then used a tire iron to slam her to the ground once she turned around. In addition to the tire iron, Harnett allegedly hit the victim in the wrist and dislocated her knee.
