Mr. Amidu has observed that some elements within the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and even within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are anxiously waiting for his sack in order to jubilate.
“I also know that there are lots of people in both the NDC and the NPP who would be too happy to hear that I have resigned or been removed from office”, he revealed in his latest article sighted by MyNewsGh.com.
According to him, his nomination as Special Prosecutor, it faced a lot of the opposition but President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stood his grounds that he wanted an impartial person like him and challenging those who felt he was not cut for the job to watch TV news on June 4, 2019.

That is why the Office of the Special Prosecutor issued the last warning pointing to its powers of enforcement but regrettably inexperienced lawyers and others who did not make a thorough reading of the states refused or failed to grasp its real import resulting in their fruitless labour in trying to remind me with my vast experience and years as a lawyer of the very powers I had already clearly referred to in the statement.”
