Scholarship Details and EligibilityAbout the Lischewski Family Fund for Aspiring Collegians

“Knowledge and skills have the power to transform lives, opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach,” said Chris Lischewski. “We established this fund to help talented and driven young people overcome financial barriers and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.”

Chris Lischewski has built a diverse career in finance, business development, and executive leadership in the food industry. A graduate of the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree and MBA, he began his career as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, specializing in business restructuring and global market development. Lischewski later joined StarKist Seafoods, where he played a key role in the company’s turnaround. As President and CEO of Bumble Bee Seafoods, he led the company from bankruptcy to $1 billion in sales. Residing in San Diego with his wife Louise, the Lischewski’s are deeply invested in the local community supporting various local charities and nonprofit organizations.

The Lischewski Family Fund will award five $1,000 scholarships annually, with the potential for one renewal year, to students beginning their college journey at accredited two-year community colleges in California. The program highlights the Lischewski family’s recognition of the vital role community colleges play in providing affordable, high-quality education, whether for earning two-year degrees or laying the foundation for four-year university programs.
