The wife of Netflix’s CEO, Patty Quillin, contributed $1 million to an organization that supports Chesa Boudin in her fight against recall efforts.
A campaign to prevent the recall of the leftist San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin is being funded by Patty Quillin, who is married to Reed Hastings, the CEO of Netflix. Other affluent contributors are also contributing to the campaign. The mission of the organization is to effect change in the legal system of the state.
The Smart Justice California Action Fund, an alliance of left-wing donors focused on criminal justice-related initiatives and also supporting progressive politicians in the state, gave $115,000 to Boudin’s committee on May 10 to assist the controversial DA in fending off the recall effort, as was reported in San Francisco filings. This donation was made to help Boudin stave off the recall effort.

According to the documents from the state, on March 16 Quillin provided Smart Justice with one million dollars in funding. Rob Bonta, the far-left candidate for attorney general in California, is also receiving support from Smart Justice.
