Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana has disclosed how after the Minority boycotted the Station of the Nation address delivered by President Akufo-Addo rushed in for their drinks and food which we term it as ‘Item 13’.
The Minister for parliamentary affairs who was surprised to see members of the Minority caucus coming to take their share in the refreshment after the function questioned why they (minority) did not boycott the ‘khebabs and drinks’.
“They didn’t boycott the khebabs and the drinks. they participated fully in taking the khebabs and the drink. they only boycotted the sessional address. the people of this country should be mindful of the kind of opposition we have…”
The Minority today staged a walkout in parliament after the president, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo entered the chamber to give his address.
They moved out repeating a part of the anthem that says “and help us to resist oppressors rule with all our will and might forever more”.
