Paul Hutchinson, 55, passed away the day after being questioned by detectives following his identification as a suspect in the murder of Danielle “Danni” Houchins.
Authorities stated on Thursday that a married father of two who was identified as the adolescent girl’s suspected killer committed himself hours after being questioned by detectives, over thirty years after the girl was discovered dead close to a fishing access point in Montana.
Expert DNA analysis and forensic genetic genealogy enabled investigators to pin the murder of 15-year-old Danielle “Danni” Houchins’s murderer on 55-year-old Paul Hutchinson.
“We never gave up on finding the truth for Danni and her family, using every resource available to us to close this painful chapter,” Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer stated. “Our commitment to justice for victims and their loved ones is unwavering, and we will continue to use every resource at our disposal to solve these cases, no matter how much time has passed.”
California Man Who Went to Alias for 40 Years was Apprehended in a Woman’s Murder

This week, Richard Moore made his court debut on the alleged 1984 abduction, sexual assault, and homicide of Madeline Garcia.
Detectives in California have taken into custody a guy who, at the age of 19, is accused of sexually abusing and killing an elderly woman in 1984.
Prior to his arrest last month, Richard Moore lived under the nickname “Woody” or “Woody on Fairbanks,” according to the Sacramento News & Review.
Evidence gathered at the location, which was located in Roseville on Atlantic and Branstetter streets, showed that Garcia’s assailant had carried her into an alley, where she had been repeatedly struck to death.
