She was born to Diane Hardin, an acting manager and coach and a former actress, and Jerry Hardin, an actor. She has a brother named Shawn, the former CEO of the web browser company Flock. Melora attended Patrick Henry Junior High School and Ulysses S. Grant High School, then earned a degree from Sarah Lawrence College in New York.
Career
In 1976, Melora made her television debut in a two-part episode of “Police Story.” From 1977 to 1978, she played Cindy Prescott on “Thunder.” The North Avenue Irregulars, her debut feature film, and “The Love Boat” featured her in 1978. Melora made appearances in the television films “Haywire” (1980) and “Little House: Look Back to Yesterday” (1983) in the early 1980s.
