Chelsea confirmed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the final day of the summer transfer.
The blues paid £10 million for the Gabonese international on a two years deal with an option to extend for another season. The 33-year-old picked the number 9 jersey.
With has a huge experience in the Premier League after scoring 68 goals in 128 Premier League appearances. He also won the Premier League top scorer in 2019.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also had an excellent six-month spell in Spain with Barcelona after helping the Catalan Giant secure a Champions League spot last season. He scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for Barcelona, including 11 in La Liga.
Mateo Kovacic claims Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a proper striker and expects him to score between 20-25 goals.

“I can say he will be a big addition to us,” Mateo Kovacic said.
“He’s a proper striker, a goal scorer, which we have missed.
“In the last years, we haven’t had a 20, 25-goal striker that you need to win the title. So we’re looking forward to having him in our squad.
“He’s a proven goalscorer. It’s normal for him to score goals, and I hope he will do it here at Chelsea as well.”
Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic has revealed that he recommended RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol to Chelsea.
The Versatile defender was one defender shortlisted by Thomas Tuchel to replace the departure, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen. The blues did not materialize after RB Leipzig offered the Croatian international a new deal.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb, The Croatian Midfielder said: “At the club, they asked me about Josko, I told them all the best.
“I don’t need to say anything about his football. They know what kind of player he is, and his character is excellent.
“I have seen in the national team how eager he is to play. He has a great career ahead of him, and I hope that one day we will play together in the club.”
Mateo Kovacic was handed his first start of the season against West Ham after recovering from injury.
Providing an update on his fitness, the Croatian international said: “I’m getting better. I had some problems with my knee after the national team and pre-season.
“It was a tough pre-season for me, but I’m recovered now and getting better day by day. I need to get my match fitness back, but games and training are there for that. So I’m looking forward to getting better every day.”
The Croatian has also warned his teammates against underestimating Dinamo Zagreb as he expects a tough fixture.
Kovacic continued: “Dinamo is growing day by day. The work here is phenomenal, I know that from experience.
“It will be difficult to play at Maksimir tomorrow. It will not be easy. I hope we will be ready.”
