Chelsea had their pre-season tour in the United States, their first pre-season tour outside Europe Post Covid-19 lockdown.
The blues played three games during their pre-season tour in the United States. Chelsea is one only of their pre-season tour game in the United States, with the only win coming against Mexican side Club America.
They lost their remaining two games. The blues lost on a penalty shoot-out to Charlotte Fc and were beaten 4-0 by their London rival Arsenal in the final of the Florida Cup.
Reflecting on their pre-season tour in the United States, The 23-year England midfielder admitted that they were lucky that their 4-0 defeat to Arsenal was pre-season friendly and they’re going to learn from their mistakes.

The Chelsea player of the season revealed via the Club’s official website, saying: “We’re lucky it’s pre-season because these are the type of games that you are learning from and using them.
“Obviously the results are the main thing and you want to win but you’re using them for the minutes and to gain that match sharpness that you’ve missed over the last couple of months.
“They’re games that we’re going to learn from and you never want to be losing 4-0. It’s the little moments in games that you learn from and the mistakes that we made that you want to cut out. We still have some time to nail that down and be ready for the first game of the season.”
The International also thanked the American fans for their support through their two weeks stay in the United States.
The Chelsea midfielder added: “It’s good to be home but the tour was unbelievable.
“We were there for two weeks and got a lot of stuff done, being able to see the American supporters that came out and supported us for the three games.
“Every time we were at training, they turned up. It was brilliant to see them and a lot of hard work was done as well.”

Thomas Tuchel had mixed feelings about Chelsea’s performance in the pre-season, the Chelsea vowed to find a solution to Chelsea’s problem during their pre-season tour in the United States together with his coaching staff.
The Chelsea manger told reporters, saying :”My personal feeling, I don’t know if I ever lost a match in pre-season 4-0. I can’t remember not winning two matches in a row in pre-season. I’m a huge fan of a strong pre-season in everything: atmosphere, feeling, performance, belief.
“I am superstitious but not in a way that I say bad pre-season has to mean a bad season. That makes no sense to me. I am in it, a part of it, and need to find solutions.
“We fly home now and we have one-and-a-half days only, on Tuesday we need to present solutions, we need to present actions. Me and the coaching staff, together with the team, need to step up and find a way through this because it hurts at the moment.”
