Throwdown, their debut album together, was released in 1987. MC Gregory D provided the production while MC Fresh did the rapping. Together, they would put out two more albums in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Following the release of their final album together in 1993, Thomas got to know Bryan “Baby” Williams, who offered him a job as the label Cash Money Records’ in-house producer. The album’s lead hit, “Real Big,” reached #79 on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to financial difficulties, he parted ways with Cash Money in 2005 and signed with Def Jam South.
