1) Practice Low Impact Exercises

Achy joints may put you away from exercising, but they could benefit from a few light movements.  Exercise is a great way to reduce pain and stiffness caused by arthritis. Some of the most effective examples of low-impact exercise for arthritis include walking, cycling, swimming, and lightweight training. Consistent practice of these exercises can help improve your mobility and mood. These also help you lose weight.

2) Stress Management with Yoga and Mindfulness

Yoga, in particular, is a great home remedy to manage arthritis. Besides reducing arthritis pain, there are many other benefits of yoga, such as it helps build strength & balance, improves joint flexibility, reduces stress, improves sleep, and more.

There are various types of yoga forms that you can tailor to suit your needs. If specific yoga poses seem challenging, you can modify them to accommodate your pain points.

3) Incorporate a Healthy Diet

A healthy diet is crucial for managing arthritis and can help you feel your best. Some specific foods can trigger inflammation and pain and worsen the condition, and you need to avoid them straight away. Those are dairy products, meat, eggs, citrus fruits, nuts, whole foods, etc.

So what should you eat?

  • Vitamin D-rich foods: Are great for bone health and even help reduce inflammation. Fatty fish like salmon and tuna are some good options for maintaining adequate Vitamin D levels in the body.
  • Anti-inflammatory food items: Try to have whole foods and cut out on processed items.
  • Adopt a plant-based diet: A diet that is low in fat and high in fiber can help you manage weight and lower inflammation.

4) Massage Therapy Works the Best

Take some time out of your routine to relax your entire muscles. Massaging your muscles is also a way to reduce arthritis pain. You may be wondering, how can this help with arthritis? It does so by reducing stress, pain and increasing blood flow around the joints. With regular massages, you will be able to find relief from arthritis naturally.

5) Add Dietary Supplements to Your Diet

Specific vitamins and minerals, to be precise, vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K, and minerals like zinc, calcium, iron, and magnesium, play crucial roles in overall health.

6) Rest Appropriately

Gently keeping a heating pad for a maximum of 15 minutes can give you relief from arthritis pain. On the other hand, ice packs can treat sore muscles and inflammation after all the hustle you have been in.

Some arthritis sufferers turn to natural remedies to manage chronic pain and improve relaxation.
