A portion of the assault that took place on Thursday evening was captured on camera in the parking lot of a Vons store that is located in Reseda.
Ray Church was reportedly walking close to the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Tampa Avenue when a woman approached from behind and struck him in the back of the head, as stated by Shavahn Church, Ray Church’s daughter.
According to Shavan Church, the assailant “comes out of the car, starts stomping on my dad’s head while he was unconscious, and kicking him in the ribs,” said Church.
After being struck in the face by a vehicle, the victim, who is 65 years old, now suffers from two broken ribs and a severely damaged face. Even though they have reason to suspect the assault was planned, the family continues to have a hard stance against it.
” She stated that “it broke my heart to watch the blood spread all over his face and to see the bruises to his ribs. Shavan Church has been quoted as saying, “This needs to come to a stop.”
Mandy Church, Ray’s wife, said that if “his head had hit that wall which was like a foot away… he may have died.”
It appears that Church had just parked his vehicle in the parking lot before the alleged incident in which the suspects, a man, and a woman, accused him of hitting their silver Honda.
The footage indicates that Church denies striking their vehicle and then takes off before pausing to check on his vehicle before being confronted once more by the couple.
The suspects wait until he is unconscious on the ground before taking his wallet and Rolex watch.
Shavan Church is quoted as saying, “My dad was wearing a Rolex, although he seldom wears it. However, just this one time, he forgot to take it off, and it was stolen.”
“I’m not afraid of you people, and that’s why I’m here to tell you the story,” she said. “And we are unquestionably doing all in our power to find you, and we will find you,” added Mandy Church.
