Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points and led the Portland Trail Blazers to a 117-94 win over the Bulls on Monday evening at the United Center in Chicago. During the victory, Anthony also made history as the future Hall-of-Fame forward passed Alex English to become the No. 18 all-time scorer in NBA history with 25,615 career points.
Anthony has had to adjust to being out of the NBA for months, learn the Blazers system and fit into the starting lineup with his new teammates in just a matter of days after signing with Portland. On Tuesday, he had some additional help from from the stands in putting together his best game of the season. Despite reports of Anthony and his wife being separated over the summer, La La Anthony attended the Trail Blazers’ game in Chicago and was seated behind the Portland bench. During the game she used FaceTime to call their 12-year-old son, Kiyan, and have him join the family as a virtual supporter of his father in his big moment.
