Kelly Ripa has recently broken her silence, bringing in a leggy replacement for her no-show on “Live!” The 50-year-old talk show host has been MIA on the show she’s hosted since 2001, with 45-year-old co-host Ryan Seacrest joined this week by 42-year-old media personality Maria Menounos.
She’s the temporary “cohost,” according to “Live.” Fans have been wondering where Kelly is since Maria is co-hosting both Monday and Tuesday. They now know, thanks to the blonde’s Instagram post today.
Kelly’s latest news can be found by scrolling down. It comes as the former “All My Children” actress plays a game of “two can play at this” with Ryan. Kelly was the one who was ditched for two days last year, one of which was an anxious one as the “American Idol” host awaited the results of a COVID test.
Kelly, who was mentioned in comments left on footage of Maria Menounos on the “Live!” Instagram earlier this week, updated her own account today, posting stories to her 2.9 million followers and appearing to be at ease in her $27 million NYC townhouse.

Kelly’s video featured her dog Chewie, who was filmed curled up in a fluffy dog chair by the star. Kelly’s cool marble floors and swanky home interiors caught the attention of fans, and the mom of three dedicated her post to National Puppy Day. Kelly, instead of showing her face, swung the camera to show two dogs.
Kelly’s absence, which has sparked a lot of buzzes, does not mean she’s leaving the show for good, though she did hint at a departure in a 2020 interview with Parade.
Kelly, who co-hosts the show with Ryan five days a week, did make a reference to the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer, saying:
“We’ve been friends for two decades, and I’ve got to say, he’s a real magnet for me.” I absolutely adore working with him. He makes it seem like I’m not working every day, and that’s when you know you’ve got a good working relationship.”
Meanwhile, Ryan has been making headlines as the host of “American Idol.” this season. See more photos after the jump!
There are now two videos of Maria looking leggy and amazing after she took Kelly’s place. Fans are now commenting on both of the videos, which were shared by “Live,” Many people praised the new face, remarking on Ryan and Maria’s “energy” and even suggesting that Kelly step aside and Maria take her place. Others, on the other hand, believed that no one could ever match the witty and petite star.
This year, Kelly has made numerous “Live!” headlines, including seeing her 19-year-old daughter Lola Grace buttering her biscuits on set.
