Clarkson, the first winner of “American Idol,” also talked about working on a new record while going through a split with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
Kelly Clarkson said that changes have already been made for the fifth season of her talk show because of rumors of a “toxic” workplace.
Clarkson said she was “definitely caught off guard” by a report that came out in May. One current employee and 10 former employees said that producers and other high-ranking employees had mistreated them.
“I think the important thing is that we get in the habit of thinking that we must stop everything or everyone. And that’s not bad because it’s like, “All right, then…” “Because what you’re saying is that it’s over every time someone says something,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
“That’s not how you get things done. You have to move forward. You have to say, “Man, this is hard. Maybe we can do better.” We may have missed the mark here, so what can we do differently?'”

“I know it’s annoying when something happens behind the scenes that you don’t know about. But I also think it’s a good point,” Clarkson added. “Let’s start Season 5 by reminding everyone who we are, not just on the outside but also on the inside, how we like to carry ourselves, and how we like to… I don’t know, just keep doing your normal work.”
She went on: “Many of us are now older. I’m 41. I thought, “I don’t want to go to work where people aren’t having fun.” I don’t have to, and if I’m being honest, I’d rather be at my ranch. So, I want everyone to be happy and to feel like they can make a difference.
The artist also said that the story made people realize something was wrong behind the scenes.
“I think that’s all it did for us: make us realize that maybe something is wrong. Clarkson said, “I didn’t know when that first came out.” “So, what should we do? How can we be better role models?”
She added, “So we’re already doing that and adding to what we already had planned to make sure everyone feels included and a part of the team.”
Clarkson also talked about her split from Brandon Blackstock, which was another hard part of her life.
