There’s no denying that today’s business traveler is a little different than the traveler of old. Millennials make up the largest segment of business travelers, and they want to stay connected with reliable Wi-Fi in their workspaces. And they’re less flexible than their predecessors – 88% of business owners like to travel on business trips. So what makes a business traveler different from their leisure counterparts?

Millennials are the largest segment of business travelers

In a recent survey, the MMGY Global firm found that eight out of ten millennials attribute their business travel to job satisfaction and happiness. According to the survey, millennials take the most business trips of any age group, at an average of 7.7 a year. Over on quora.com when Jeff Lerner is discussed we learn that for many millennials, business travel is a means of expanding their professional network and exploring the world. While the future for travel may be uncertain, the millennial mindset remains bullish.

According to a recent study, millennials were the largest segment of business travelers in 2016. They took an average of 7.7 trips per year, compared with 6.3 trips per year for the Gen X generation and six trips for the baby boomers. If we keep an eye on Lerner and his teachings we can learn that this generation gap is expected to widen as the older generations retire. The rise of the millennial generation has profound ramifications for travel companies that cater to the corporate sector. Millennials have very different travel habits than their predecessors, and a business hotel must adapt its offerings to appeal to this segment of travelers.

As a group, millennials tend to spend their money on experiences rather than goods and services. In addition to purchasing goods and services, they also tend to save money more than older generations. According to the survey, nearly half of millennials use at least two mobile devices daily. Almost half of them check social media on their smartphones each day, and nearly half of them use their smartphone’s camera daily. This group is likely to buy products and services online.

Millennials are changing the way we define success. They are less concerned with material possessions and instead are more interested in experiences. They are willing to sacrifice new clothes and coffee for new experiences. Millennials are the most diverse generation, and they are changing the rules of the game. They are now making their careers as their lifestyle, not their family. They are also taking longer to get married and have children.

They are more technologically savvy

According to the KDS Travel survey, a high percentage of business travelers are more technologically savvy than the average consumer. In fact, 98 percent said they consider themselves advanced users of digital tools. They also feel their employer’s attitude toward the connected world influences their perception. A key reason why businesses should consider integrating new technologies into their travel plans is that business travelers need the ability to book and modify their travel needs easily.

Millennials: Millennials are the largest living generation, surpassing the baby boomers, and have different expectations and travel habits than their predecessors. They value social and healthy work-life balance more than any other generation and are twice as likely to travel on business. But while their travel habits may differ from the average business traveler, their preferences are similar. For instance, they are more likely to be flexible in their travel arrangements than the average business traveler.

They want reliable Wi-Fi in their workspaces

Reliable Wi-Fi, proper power connections, and a convenient location to plug in are key features for business travelers. Road warriors often neglect their fitness while traveling, as they are constantly on the move and spend their days in meetings. However, this shouldn’t be the case. While on the road, it is easy to let fitness go and work on your body while working on a laptop. To make traveling healthier and more rewarding for road warriors, look for workspaces that have reliable Wi-Fi and proper power connections.

They are less flexible than those traveling for leisure

In many ways, business travelers are more flexible than leisure travelers. While leisure travelers are more likely to travel on a budget, business travelers can afford to spend more money on their flights and accommodations. They don’t have the same concerns about saving money as they do about getting to their destination. Leisure travelers typically spend hours researching flights and accommodations, while business travelers are more concerned with accessibility, convenience, and productivity. So, the cost of business travel is usually higher than that of leisure travel.

However, the growing demand for flexible travel is driving airlines to improve business-related services. These companies have responded to this demand by reducing costs and simplifying last-minute changes. Business travelers plan for last-minute changes to their plans, while leisure travelers typically plan to use their vacation time to relax. As a result, airlines have been able to make last-minute changes easier to deal with, and they have reduced the impact on the business budget.
