A witness may have “exculpatory information,” according to the defense for Kohberger, who implies that possibility.
Bryan Kohberger, who is suspected of killing two college students, has been assigned two special assistant prosecutors from the office of the attorney general in Idaho, who have been brought in to aid the prosecution in obtaining a conviction against Kohberger.
Around four in the morning on November 13, Kohberger is said to have stabbed to death four students who were attending the University of Idaho. In addition to that, he is being charged with burglary.
Should he be found guilty, he faces the possibility of being put to death.
Latah County Prosecuting Attorney Bill Thompson has requested the assistance of two prosecutors from the Idaho Attorney General’s Office. This is due to the fact that Kohberger’s defense team intends to challenge the evidence that was used to arrest him during a preliminary hearing that will take place in June and believes that a surviving roommate may have information that could exonerate Kohberger.
